BECOMING A COMMITTEE MEMBER

What is a Webster Republican Committee person?

A Committee person is anyone who is interested in good government in Webster. All of us have concerns about why certain issues are handled differently than we would deal with them ourselves. We all need to have a better understanding of the issues facing Webster, Monroe County, New York State, and the Nation. By becoming a member of the Committee you have a direct line to the people you have elected to serve you. Become better informed. Get involved.

Becoming a Member

All it takes to get involved in the Committee is a telephone call to Peter Elder (265-0671), our Town Leader. If you already know someone on the Committee, ask them about our monthly Committee meetings or the special events sponsored by the Committee.

Expectations of a Committee Member

At minimum, a Committee member is expected to carry petitions each year. This is not only how Committee members are elected, it is also a great way to meet your neighbors and support Republican candidates. Become a Chair of a fund-raising or social event. Your talents and expertise are valuable. Most of all, you will be a better informed citizen. GET INVOLVED, politics can be a very rewarding part of your life.

Additional Information

The Webster Republican Committee meets the third Wednesday of each month (except July, August, and December). Our meetings are held at the Ridgecrest facility on Ebner Drive and start with a social hour at 7:30pm with the meeting beginning at 8:00pm. We have fund-raising and social events which have something for everyone. So give Webster and yourself the benefit of participating in our political system. Become a Webster Republican Committee Member.
